Welcome to my Practice in Evanston, IL
Many people come to counseling when life presents them with unknowns. Sometimes this is due to a relocation, a career change, the beginning or end of a relationship, a loss, or other unexpected life events. Such experiences can shake up one’s understanding of place, self, belonging. In such situations it is not always easy to know how to move forward.
As an Integrative Relational-Cultural Therapist, I specialize in helping clients explore and understand their most formative relationships with important people, such as partners, parents, siblings, peers and colleagues. I also help clients to analyze the ways in which culture, values, and experiences shape these relationships.
My work incorporates elements of Psychodynamic Therapy, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Narrative Therapy and Internal Family Systems Therapy to provide a comprehensive treatment. My expertise lies in working with people who face challenges arising from cultural differences, relocation challenges, and those who are facing life changing transitions. I have extensive experience working with people from various cultural and faith backgrounds, and LBGTQ+ clients.
